Interview with the kiddos

I asked the kids some questions individually about our upcoming trip. They didn’t hear the other kids answers. Here are their thoughts.

How do you feel about going on a 10 month trip across the country in a motorhome?

Vanessa- CRAZY. In all caps.

Rebecca- I feel crazy and excited!

Julian- I don’t know, it’s kinda exciting.

Joanna- I’m excited.

Jazmine- I’m happy and excited and a little scared about getting in a car crash or popping a tire.

Allena- I don’t want to go because I don’t want to die like getting eaten by a shark or getting in an accident.

What are most looking forward to on our trip?

Vanessa- seeing the beauty of the different states

Rebecca- the amusement parks

Julian- the scenery and the view going to all the different states

Joanna- going to Six Flags parks all over

Jazmine- going to Disneyland for my birthday

Allena- having my birthday at Busch Gardens and going on the rides there.

What location are you most looking forward to?

Vanessa- Las Vegas

Rebecca- Yellowstone

Julian- California, Golden Gate Bridge

Joanna- L.A. and Yellowstone

Jazmine- Presque Isle

Allena- Portland, to see where I came from and maybe meeting my foster father

What else are you excited about?

Allena- floating in the tube on the warm water (Warm water rafting on a hot spring fed river in Hot Springs, South Dakota)

Jazmine- seeing Vegas

Joanna- going on a helicopter ride

Julian- hiking and exploring in the National Parks

Rebecca- trying new foods like fish tacos in San Diego

Vanessa- seeing the Hollywood sign, the Hollywood walk of fame, and the tour to see the big houses

Is there anything you’re nervous about?

Allena- popping a tire

Jazmine- no

Joanna- the hot air balloon ride

Julian- I’m afraid we’re going to get lost in the middle of nowhere. You never know.

Rebecca- bad weather

Vanessa- the geysers

As for me, I’m probably most excited about seeing the national parks and watching the kids see and do things for the first time. I’m well aware of how “crazy” it is to pick up and go for so long, but I’m not too concerned about crazy. I live life, always have, always will. There are things I’m going to miss like crazy, my pets and my friends, but I feel like this is something we just need to do.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Leave a comment, ask a question, and come back again tomorrow for more!
